NVQ Level 6 Health and Safety Qualification who is it for?
NVQ Level 6 Health and Safety qualification is the equivalent of an undergraduate qualification, equalling a Bachelors’ degree. Personal requirements of every candidate are identified at the beginning of the training so that coaching can be tailored towards the individual’s requirements. We will work with you to ensure you meet your objective and all your work will be assessed within two days by your allocated tutor. The NVQ Level 6 health and safety qualification is needed by Company Directors, Advisors, Health and Safety Managers and Supervisors, as well as by those responsible for implementing and ensuring the maintenance of adequate and legally compliant health and safety policies within a company or business. This health and safety NVQ ensures that each candidate is able to plan, detail and implement health and safety policies for each level of the business, taking into account industry-specific legislation. Each successful candidate will be able to adapt their qualification for the business in which they are working; whether that is hospitality, healthcare, logistics, construction or wholesale and retail.
How do you obtain this NVQ Health and Safety?
To achieve this full Level 6 NVQ health and safety qualification you must demonstrate your competency, knowledge and understanding by completing the ten mandatory units. Most importantly this qualification allows you to learn, develop and practice skills required for employment and/or career progression at your own pace. Candidates can attain certification within three months of beginning the health and safety NVQ, or they can spread the overall qualification over a two-year period, depending on their needs, time and learning abilities. Work based product evidence and reflective accounts are uploaded in the elearning portal which will be marked by a tutor. Once your tutor is satisfied as to your competency, the work is forwarded to an internal assessor who will confirm that the qualification can be appropriately awarded. This is to prevent delays obtaining your certificate from the Awarding Body.
What are the entry requirements for this Health and Safety NVQ?
There are no set entry requirements for this qualification however candidates must be over the age of 19. It is beneficial that the candidate has an expert witness within their organisation but not a mandatory requirement to provide witness statements if required. We ask you to complete the skills test to ensure this health and safety is the correct qualification for you. This qualification is also ideal for those who have achieved the NVQ health and safety Level 3, NEBOSH General, NEBOSH Diploma and NVQ health and safety Level 5 however this is not a mandatory requirement. If you hold any of these qualifications listed please inform us and we will identify the Recognised Prior Learning (RPL) and may be able to offer you this qualification at a reduced rate. This ProQual qualification has replaced the NVQ Level 5 Health and Safety.

This qualification is recognised by IOSH and on enrolment of this NVQ Level 6 NVQ occupational health and safety qualification, you can join IOSH. This NVQ Level 6 health and safety qualification exceeds the requirement for Graduate Membership (GradIOSH) leading to Chartered Membership (CMIOSH).
